Yesterday the boys and I went to the ears, nose and throat doctor (ENT) for a follow-up for all of their ear infections and fall & winter 'sicknesses'. As it turns out, all of our little people need tubes in both of their ears. Their very minor surgeries are scheduled for the morning of April 14th. The doctor not only gave us hope that this will help with the pain caused by ear infections and their muffled up hearing, but that it will also cut back on colds. Oh, I so hope he is right!
Unfortunately no pictures were taken at the doctor's office, as there was not one second of down time from the moment I stepped into the office... 3 times the paperwork, three times the entertaining, and three times the ear exams. On top of all that, when I went solo I didn't realize I would be needed to sit in the hearing test booth with each boy, which was about a five minute test. Luckily, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helping, loving the time they got to hold the very energetic, curious and sociable 'waiting' boys. As it turned out, this was another learning experience for me. Ugh, my 'needing help' list is getting longer, not shorter... the ENT (and all other doctor visits), picture day, shoe store, and barber are now all 2 person excursions.
I thought this was supposed to get easier, not harder...
