HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

What a fun day!!! I was actually expecting to be a little sad, as the year just flew by and I will never again be the mother of 'babies' or even one 'baby' for that matter. Surprisingly though, I was not sad, even one tiny bit. In fact, I was quite giddy the whole day. After thinking about it for a half of a second, I realized that there was absolutely nothing to be down about. Craig, I and our families had so many fears from the moment we found out that we were going to be having triplets. That has gradually changed during the last year and a half, and we are now to the point that on their birthday my greatest concern is that their 1st birthday pictures are not going to turn out 'fantastic' because I forgot to buy them new white socks. Imagine me being worried about that. Silly I know! For that reason alone, I am not going to be sad that my little guys are not officially 'babies' anymore, and that they are growing up way too fast. Rather, I am planning to continue to enjoy every day I get to spend with Liam, Aidan and Connor... my precious little 'toddlers'.

Now on to the day...
Oh my goodness... All day long the the phone, e-mails, blog comments and text messages just came and came and came. The boys literally heard from just about everybody who they know. Thank you for songs, happy wishes, and helping us celebrate such a special occasion!!!

Auntie Kate came to visit the boys this morning, and even agreed to a picture (very unlike Auntie Kate). After seeing how cute this one turned out, I think she might start to say 'yes' more often :-).
Daddy was able to come home for lunch so we had a special family celebration. The boys enjoyed their birthday cupcakes (kind-of) and had a lot of fun riding their new cho-cho wagon.

Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mike came over in the afternoon to watch the boys so I could do some party shopping. When I came back, the boys were given another opportunity to have some birthday cake... this time chocolate.
Connor didn't enjoy it much...
but still managed to give us a little smile.
Liam attempted to eat the whole thing...
But Aidan, he 'took-the-cake' with the whole experience! I'm not sure, but I have a feeling I looked something similar to this on my first birthday. Good Job Aidan!!!
*** Notice the cross-stitched sports bibs that the boys are wearing. Grandma Diane made them for the boys, Christmas 2007. A crystal ball sure would have been nice!
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY LIAM, AIDAN and CONNOR!!!
P.S. Grandpa Mike, this picture is for you. Connor was this high on his new picnic table before you even got home.
