Triplet Fun

I'm pretty sure the silliest thing anyone has ever said to me was... "Now that your boys are 2 years old, I bet it is easier having triplets than just one child." WHAT?!? She went on to explain her thoughts, with her main 'argument' being that they can entertain each other, unlike singletons who rely only on their mom or dad. I'm not sure how other triplet families do it, but in our house, somebody has to be present with the boys 100% of the time, since they still need A LOT of guidance when it comes to 'appropriate' ways to play. That said, now that the boys are getting older, I can actually see a small fraction of of where she was coming from. Here are a few pictures taken in the last couple days to capture good old 'triplet' fun.
Liam, Aidan & Connor's first "Brother" tower.

The boys have been 'sharing' food for quite some time, but in the past, they only gave food away that they didn't want. This morning, however, they were sharing spoonfuls of their beloved oatmeal. It was really cute... All three were recipients and distributors, and they did this 100% on their own. It was fun to watch.

The boys just started dangling their feet from the upstairs platform. As soon as I saw all three of them sitting there, I ran for my camera. Unfortunately by the time I got it, a new game was created... The boys version of "the wave", but instead of standing and putting their arms up, they would lay down. Since I wanted a picture of all three, I found it a bit annoying. Hindsight, however, it was really sweet that they made up a game and had a blast with each other.

Ever since I bought this broken truck at a garage sale, it's been a big hit. So much so, it seems that every morning there is a race to the truck. Yesterday morning I was happy to discover two of them made up a new truck game, and both stayed happy throughout the activity. And the best part, the game was just as popular (and peaceful) this morning :-). I would have paid A LOT of money to have seen the following pictures through a crystal ball on Christmas Day, 2007, when Aunt Kelly, Uncle Spencer and their boys gave Baby A, B & C their retro rockets (at the time I was only 24 weeks pregnant, and not doing too well). Now I have three very active and happy little toddlers zooming on the rockets, while wearing their most recent present from Aunt Kelly & Uncle Spencer...
Bro 1, Bro 2 & Bro 3 having a blast playing follow the leader!!!

I wouldn't say triplet toddlers is easy, but it is always eventful and often a blast. I truly am Triple Blessed, and wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I love the "wave" on the stairs. So funny!
I can't imagine how having triplets isn't anything other than 6 times as hard as just one some days, but I imagine the rewards and certainly the hugs are multiplied as well!
