A Day of Surgeries

The boys' ear tube surgeries were a complete success. No problems what-so-ever. We arrived at the surgical center at 7:00, by 8:00 the surgeries started, and by 9:00 we were loading the boys back into the minivan. The whole event couldn't have gone smoother. In fact, I think the experience was less painful that a typical professional "picture day".

Before the surgeries, each of the boys were little hams, entertaining the whole staff, along with the patients and their visitors.

Liam was first. He was such a big boy, he walked to his surgical nurse who took him into the operating room. Aidan was playing "doctor" before his surgery. When in Rome...
And only tried to escape once. Connor was last to have the surgery, so he also had the longest to wait. I have a feeling Connor is going to be like his daddy, a pacer. Connor couldn't sit still from the second he arrived at the center until the anesthesiologist put him under.
Connor is not pacing here, but how cute is he in his little hospital gown?!? I spoke with Grandpa Ron shortly after we got home and told him that the boys looked better in their gowns than we did in ours last year...

I obviously don't have any pictures taken after their surgeries (Craig and I were quite busy comforting 3 upset babies), but there is no way we could have been more proud. Liam, Aidan and Connor are 3 though little boys!!!
And the best part... NO MORE EAR INFECTIONS!!!
P.S. I am soooooo glad that the surgeries were scheduled on a Tuesday (the day that Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mike come for the afternoon). The boys were a bit fussy and I needed the help!!! Thanks Mom and Dad, you guys are the best!!!

I love those pictures!!! I'm so glad that is behind all of you. It will be so nice for them to get a cold...and then have the cold actually go away!! Without a trip to the doctor too! Way to go boys!
