Picture Day for Daddy

Craig's birthday is fast approaching, and when I was trying to think of something he would LOVE, I decided that his main present had to focus on Liam, Aidan, and Connor. Since Daddy loves his boys wearing their ILLINI clothes, I decided to have professional pictures taken in the outfits their daddy bought them when down in Champaign.

Now I have to be honest, 'Picture Day' is not usually my favorite, as it is a lot of work to just get out of the house, let alone looking good with no spit-up on their clothes. And then to get three smiling babies AT THE SAME TIME in a miserably hot room is near impossible. I decided early on to document the 'picture day' experience, but that only lasted so long.

Step 1. Get 3 Clean Babies... Liam demonstrating bath time.

Step 2. Dry and lotion up. Aidan is practicing his picture day smile while showing off his hooded towel.

Step 3. Play w/o clothes (continue on for explanation). Usually after baths, the boys get dressed for the day. Well, not on picture day! All three of them are spitter-uppers, so no picture clothes go on their little bodies until the very last minute. Connor demonstrates my need for 'no clothes on picture day' policy 3 minutes after he got out of the tub.

Step 4. Nap time before pictures so we have well rested happy babies. Again w/ no clothes. Still don't want any spit-up on the picture clothes!

Liam on blue, Aidan on green and Connor on red.

Step 5. Eat (Again with no clothes). No picture here, as we were running late.

Step 6. Get dressed (with massive bibs/ blankets covering all clothes), packed up, and loaded in the car. Still running late so no picture.

Step 7. Drive to the mall, check in, and attend our photo shoot.

Step 8. Sweat like a mad lady, trying to get the babies to sit up (practically on top of each other)and smile AT THE SAME TIME. It is much harder than it sounds!!!

Step 9. Wait... The boys and I walk around while we wait to see the proofs. Honestly, I think they like visiting the doctor's office more than going to the photo studio!

And the final results....
I should have stopped after the first picture, as it only went down-hill! This next picture captures every picture day experience I have had with the boys...
