Wining in Michigan

Being a mother to triplets, TIME is the most precious present that our loved ones give us. Well my cousins went above and beyond our wildest dreams when they offered to watch our babies for a long weekend. The plan was to drive up to their home in MI, spend the night with everyone, and then take off for a two night romantic get-away in northern Michigan's Wine Country.

The boys and I at the MI's Welcome Center, where we fed the babies on the way up to Rick and Elaine's cottage.
I didn't get any pictures of the afternoon/ evening we spent with Rick and Elaine(shame on me!), but we had a blast. When we arrived early in the afternoon, we were greeted with grilled burgers and beer... now that's a welcome! A little later Rick took Craig and I out on their boat to just hang out and relax. Then for dinner they made the most delicious salad and grilled the most amazingly tasty salmon either Craig or I have ever had. Afterwards we just talked and relaxed some more. It was such a perfect day!!!
The following morning we were ready to take off for our romantic get-away, especially after seeing the boys covered in oatmeal and smiles. No doubt, the boys are in amazing hands!!!

Uncle Rick feeding Aidan, Connor, and Liam their breakfast just before we left for our 'romantic wining vacation'.

Now... Let the wining vacation begin!

Craig and I in front of a vineyard on Old Mission Peninsula.

Grapes are good, but I like them a lot more in liquid form :-).

Madonna's dad owned the first winery on our Lelandau winery tour. It didn't have great wine, but the views were beyond gorgeous.

We actually 'stole' this picture taking spot from a couple whose picture we took the minute before. They were celebrating their 1st anniversary at the exact location they got married. It was very romantic, as Craig and I like to go back to our special places and reminisce as well. Tour stop #2.

Craig and Bob, our wining tour bus guide. Tour Stop #4 (I missed #3).

Still #4 (and I missed #5 as well).

After the tour, I decided to go in Lake Michigan with some newly purchased wine and... my hottie ;-).

The next morning we immediately headed back to the cottage. Well maybe not immediately, we did sleep-in pretty late. Come on, we were in a quiet hotel with no babies!!! We were anxious to see our boys and hear all about their weekend, however, so after we woke up we packed up and started the drive so we could see our boys.

Aunt Elaine with the three lucky guys who got to spend the long weekend with their awesome aunt and uncle.

THANK YOU RICK AND ELAINE!!!

WE WILL NEVER FORGET THE OPPORTUNITY YOU US!!!

WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!
