A Health Update and Guess How Much???

So a little update... all three of our boys are still sick. We went back to the doctor on Wednesday and learned that we are not only still dealing with ear infections, but eye infections as well. That is on top of boogers galore, off-and-on again fevers and some pukes. The boys' doctors are not concerned, as their little bodies are fighting off everything that they are being introduced to. Obviously that was good to hear, but I still feel really bad for my little guys, as they have had a difficult month. It's not fun being sick!

Since the start of the new year, the boys have already been to the doctor 3 times (plus an extra visit for Aidan's little picture frame accident), getting antibiotics each time along with some 'bonus' drugs for the little things. This particular visit it was eye drops. Honestly, of everything that Liam, Aidan and Connor struggled with this past month, the very last thing on my mind is the expense of it, as I would pay anything for my family to be healthy. On Wednesday night, however, I was not thrilled to learn that I owed the pharmacy $90.00. Obviously that is addition to each boy's office visit co-payment and other over-the-counter drugs. I was curious to see if the pharmacy forgot to send it through our insurance, so I carefully looked at the packaging to see if I was properly charged. Sure enough, I learned that it was processed correctly when I saw how much our insurance 'saved' us. I don't want to give anything away, but I was shocked to see what it would have cost without insurance.



So, what do you think was the retail price of our third round of antibiotics, along with the 3/10 of an ounce of eye drops??????????

Update on Tuesday...
Thanks for the guesses... Unfortunately, Kelly was the closest with the highest guess. ONE ROUND of antibiotics and eye drops cost $869.63!!! SOOOOO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!On a positive note, the boys are feeling better, much better :-).
