Saturday- After all the kisses, hugs and tackles were distributed, the boys had a blast showing Daddy all the Liki Tiki has to offer...
Sunday- The boys were able to show their two extra special visitors the Liki Tiki amenities as well.
Uncle Steve would be impressed with the golf that was played... Aidan and Grandma Mary each had a hole in one, Liam had 2 and Daddy had 5!
We took 3 separate trips to the Boardwalk while with Daddy. The boys LOVED watching the street performers. So much so, now that we are home I am asked to sit and watch my own little street performers, as they show off their clown type of talents every afternoon.
Monday- Off to Sea World to visit Shamu and to go on lots of rides made especially for little ones.
This picture really does capture what Aidan and Connor think of fast and rides that spin. Too funny!!!
And this one accurately shows how much Liam LOVES rides. The faster the better for Liam!
Wednesday- Blizzard Beach!!! The pictures below don't do the fun we had enough justice. All the boys were so incredibly brave. We started in the toddler and junior sections (pictured below), and were then off to the "big people" slides. I don't know what surprised me more... The fact that Disney didn't have many height restrictions OR the fact that my trio was so brave while going on all the water slides. What a perfect and crazy fun afternoon!!!
We have some funny videos of the boys gliding down the t-bars and then flipping into the water. This attraction is definitely not my cup of tea, but the boys loved it!
Date night! Who gets date night while on vacation??? Us! Spoiled, I know!!!
Thursday was Disney Day. We started and ended at Epcot, with the Magic Kingdom sandwiched in between. On this day we realized how incredibly tough our kids are. No strollers, lots and lots of walking, no complaining and sooo much fun. A few examples...
1. After going strong for 11+ hours, the boys and I were listening to a band while waiting for Craig to bring us dinner. Liam says to me "Mommy, can I rest?" "Sure!" was my reply. With that the kid says "How do I rest?" LOL... He's never done it before!
2. A bit later when I was telling the boys that we were soon going back on the boats to get to the car, Connor asks "What car?" I respond with "What do you mean what car?" He then says "I want to go back to the racecars at the Magic Kingdom?" Thankfully I was able to tell him that the park was already closed (I was a bit exhausted and wouldn't be up for another trip back to the MK!).
3. Then when we finally got back to the Liki Tiki (well past their bedtime) all three RAN up the three flights of stairs while going to our unit. These boys never run out of energy, seriously, never!
Friday- On our last full day at the Liki Tiki we did a little fishing.
And spent our last night at Downtown Disney.
ALL my tough boys on the Harley.
T-Rex... Interesting restaurant but not worth the wait and keeping our kids up 'til 11:30 on the night before our long travel day. Oops!
After checking out of the Liki Tiki but before heading to the airport we went to Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mike's new Florida resort. While there we celebrated a special birthday and then had our last horah in the pool. A perfect ending to a perfect vacation!
Happy birthday to the most special mother!
Daddy and Grandpa played catch with Liam for quite a while. Who knew Liam could make such a great ball?
Off to the airport...
Such big boys, going through security on their own...
The boys listened attentively to the flight attendants as they were giving their mandatory crisis directions. I think they were the only three listening to the poor girls :-).
I am so incredibly grateful to Craig for allowing the boys and I the amazing opportunity to be in Florida during a nice chunk of winter. Even though he is away from his family for almost 2 weeks, Craig said that since the boys are with family who love them, teach them, and entertain them all while in warmer temperatures is priceless and worth every sacrifice.
Since we will be in a similar situation next year, with the boys being on a month long preschool break, our plan is to do this trip one more time, that is if Uncle Rick, Aunt Elaine, Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mike will take us in again :-). Next year, though, we won't have to go so long without having our family together, as we plan to have Craig's visit in the middle of the trip since I no longer need him to fly with us. That should alleviate the only glitch in our otherwise perfect winter plan. That said, for the second to last time of my life I can say...
I LOVE WINTER!!!
