On Sunday I hosted our subdivision's "Santa Sit" at a local restaurant. The turn-out was not great, but those who did attend thought it was perfect. All the kids had private chit-chats with Santa, had the opportunity to read their lists (or just tell him what they wanted), and then there were pictures galore. Each family had as much time with the big guy without a cost or wait! I just wish more took advantage of Santa's generosity at our function.
I was with Santa the entire time of the event, and oh was it entertaining! Listening to all the kids talk to their hero was priceless. I did hear both ends of the spectrum, with one asking for a laptop and another telling him that he wanted to be surprised on Christmas. But my favorite visitors were the last to arrive... My three little people!
Aidan seemed a tad shy, but he answered all of Santa's questions and told him what he wanted. So sweet!
And as usual, Connor was a ham. When Santa asked him if he's been nice to his brothers, Connor didn't answer. Rather he just smiled and took the fifth.
The boys were shocked to learn that Santa brought them presents early. Happy happy boys!
My very blessed family!
The following day when I was talking with the boys about the days of the week while walking through Macy's I asked them "What's next Sunday?" All three announced without pause, "CHRISTMAS!" So I then asked "What are we going to do on Christmas?". I was expecting to hear one of the following...
"Go to church to pray, not play" (we've been talking with the boys about how they are going IN our actual church on Christmas rather than the daycare). OR
"Get presents from Santa" OR
"Go to a party at the farm." OR
"See Grandma and Grandpa and our cousins."
But the answer Connor gave me was...
"We are going to give love!" Seriously, does it get more precious than that?!?
