Our Pre-Christmas Weekend (Part 1)

On Saturday we went into the city for a holiday adventure.
First stop was what the boys call our "yellow house in the city".  They enjoyed being elves, dropping presents off on Southport.  And when I say "dropping" I mean both literally (beer bottles rolling down the street was an interesting sight) and figuratively (they truly do LOVE passing presents out to everyone on our list!).

After all the presents were re-gathered and distributed, we took a little walk to St. Als.  I love this picture, because it was here on the veranda that Craig and I had wedding pictures taken 7+ years ago AND the same veranda that I told Craig that we were pregnant.  And now seeing my boys running, laughing and playing together, absolutely beautiful!

Since the boys are checked into daycare during mass each week, we had some teaching to do while in church.

After church we drove around downtown before heading to Navy Pier for Winter Wonderfest.  What a fun time for everyone!
Craig put very expensive bracelets on each boy, and then the real fun began!

And if that wasn't fun enough, on the way back to the car we decided to take the boy's suggestion to practice going up and down (and up and down and up and down) the escalators.  Surprisingly they still remembered our little (okay BIG) tumble at Disney back in January, so we thought it was a good idea.  Anyways, they did great and had a blast... Yes on the escalators!  Maybe it had something to do with the fact that there were no lines on the escalators :-).

What a fun family day!!!  The only thing missing, according to the boys, was Joey!
