Halloween... Day 1-3

With Halloween falling on a Monday, my family somehow stretched the holiday's festivities to a 4 day block.  I LOVE being a mom and in charge of our calendar :-)!

It started on Friday, with an unexpected message from our friend Isabelle, who, along with her 4400+ classmates, saw a video of the boys while at school.  If you want to check it out, click on this link.  The boys are in the first part, with the section about the Wee Wildcat Preschool.  Even though we didn't come up with the most entertaining line (the little boy who was looking forward to being able to talk to strangers on Halloween got that title), my trio was pretty cute!

Later on Friday we went to a Halloween party at the YMCA.  Since it was at the same time as game 7 of the World Series, we opted to have the boys go as Cardinal players.  We certainly didn't win any costume contests, but that's okay as we brought the team good luck.  Saint Louis Cardinal, 2011 World Champions!!!

A few pictures from the carnival type party...
Connor getting some tossing lessons from Daddy.
No peaking, Liam!
Aidan was a surprised as we were that he threw a bulls-eye!  Way to go, Aidan!!!

This picture cracks me up.  After Aidan got back from the haunted house, Liam and Connor were asking him 20 questions about it.  After taking it all in, Connor decided to give it a try and Liam took a pass.
On Saturday we had our subdivision's parade and party at the park.  The turn-out wasn't great (about 20 kids), but everyone had fun, showing off their costumes, swinging at a pinata, doing crafts and making mummies.

Afterwards we headed over to the "C" house for a Halloween pizza party.  Delicious and fun for everyone!!!

On Sunday we took another "easy-out" with the costumes, having the boys go downtown for a three part Halloween adventure as skeletons.  I know, we have the most adorable costumes this year, and opted to not dress them in them, twice!  Shame on me, I know, but it was cold, wet and I wanted to keep the costumes nice looking for the actual holiday!

First we did some Trick-or-Treating at local businesses.

Then we got toasty warm and had a delicious lunch.

And finally we were off to the main event... Halloween Fest 2011!  It had everything a 3 year old would want... bounce houses, carnival games, prizes, and candy, to name a few...

Unfortunately it started to rain while we were at the fest, so we bribed the kids to skip the hayride and go home for hot chocolate and candy.  Everyone won!

The day ended by carving pumpkins.  A perfect day, minus the pumpkin guts!!!

Next post, Day 4... Halloween!
