Oh did our family have a fun weekend...
We carved pumpkins, with the boys doing the majority of the work...
| They did the picking, and pushing... |
| the carrying, |
| the scooping, |
| and the designing... just about everything just shy of using a carving knife :-) |
| Our one instructional mistake while going through the whole process... We forgot to teach the boys the purpose of placing candles inside the pumpkins. Right after we brought them outside and lit the candles, the boys immediately starting to sing "Happy Birthday" to Grandpa Mike and Grandpa Ron (the boys know who the next birthday boys are), and then blew the pumpkin candles out. It completely caught us off guard, but was quite funny! |
On Saturday I hosted our first annual subdivision Halloween Parade and Party. No pictures taken, but I'd consider it a success for my first event as children's social chair, with about 25- 30 attendees. It was fun, but I'm hoping to have more people in events to come!!!
After church on Sunday we visited a pumpkin patch, and had just about the whole place to ourselves...
| Dump! |
And of course, went trick-or-treating...
| By the end of the night, the boys were just a blur, running from house to house, getting "lots and lots of candy". |
| And did they ever!!! |
| Happy Halloween, from our whole Sesame Street gang!!! |
