One Tough Kid!

Liam's 3rd surgery went well! We arrived at the hospital at 7:45, by 9:00 he was in the operating room, and by 11:45 we were in the Burger King line, ordering a large ICEE for the brave little patient. Liam ended up having a tonsillectomy, partial adenoidectomy, and right ear tube insertion. Also, while he was under he was tested for all sorts of allergies. Fingers crossed that this will be the last surgery for Liam, and that all of our questions will be answered in a couple of weeks, during our follow-up appointment with his ENT.
Liam waiting very patiently while in the hospital, with 2 of his favorites!
And listening very attentively to one of the many friendly hospital team members.
No pictures were taken after surgery, but one moment that I will remember is that I was able to cuddle up with Liam in his hospital bed BEFORE he was woken up from the anesthesia. What a great idea, as it helped him stay calm and feel secure, while trying to make sense of everything.

After sleeping for 12 hours the night after his surgery, we didn't think Liam could top his own recovery. We were wrong... He gobbled up 21 Popsicles for breakfast that morning!
Way to go Liam!!!
And with all the slushies/ ICEEs he's been drinking, he very might stay sticky and red for quite some time!!!
Today, day 3, has been the worst for Liam. He hasn't slept as well, seems to be bothered more, and wants to be "All Done" with his "Yucky" medicine. Poor little guy still needs some prayers for a speedy recovery, especially since we want our party animal to be able to celebrate, Liam style, at Steve and Anna wedding!
Feel better my sweet and tough little guy!!!

21 Popcicles!? Now that is an accomplishment. Praying he starts to feel better very soon. What a strong little boy!

What an ordeal!

He is a tough guy, and 21 popsicles is amazing.

I hope he's feeling better soon.
