Here's a little recap...
After baths and breakfast (but before Sunday clothes), the boys noticed that the Easter Bunny visited or house. They had an absolute blast searching for eggs and baskets that were hidden around the family room. Here are a few pictures...
Connor was proud to have found his first egg of the year.
Liam was too,
That is until he realized that eggs make for great basketball substitutes!
Aidan was all about collecting as many as he could find.
After our busy morning we headed off to church. Because of the holiday, the nursery was closed so the boys were forced to sit with us. We got to mass 20 minutes early and ended up sitting in the last row of temporary seating in the waiting area. We thought we had a perfect set-up since we had a whole couch to share, but ended up having to leave during the opening hymn. Not only were the boys tired of hanging out in church, but they honestly thought it was time to leave when we asked them to stand during the opening hymn. While the 1800+ people in the church were singing the rejoiceful song, all three of my guys were telling all the people around us "Bye-Bye" announcing to the crowd "All Done". If they weren't so innocent and adorable, it would have been very embarrassing!
Since our church has a nice nature walk, we were able to hang out there (with many other toddlers) for a majority of the mass. We were then able to go back into church for communion at the end of the mass. Even though it was not a traditional way to spend Easter morning, I still felt very close to God, and will hopefully remember it always!
After naps we headed off to my parents house for an Easter celebration. Since I was too busy chasing 3 toddlers around, I didn't get any pictures. Luckily, however, my sister did! To see photos from our special Easter at Grandma Diane's and Grandpa Mike's, check out Kelly's blog post, Easter 2010.
Hope you all had a blessed and happy Easter!
