Day 8- Saturday
Wow, the week is over already. It sure went fast, but we did manage to have an absolute blast!!!
I was a bit apprehensive about flying home since there was a snowstorm in Chicago and the boys had colds. Grandma and Grandpa went with us to make sure the flight was on time, before returning the minivan. Within 15 minutes of being at the airport, we (along with our 9 luggage pieces) were all checked in, we learned that our flight was still scheduled to depart on time, and our minivan was on its way to being returned. Going through security was relatively painless, and when we arrived at the gate we were informed that the flight was not sold out so the boys would be able to sit in their car seats on the plane. And right when we didn't think it could get any better, it did! Once we boarded the plane, we learned that we would each be able to have our own row; one seat for a baby, one for us, and one for all the toys, blankets, bottles, etc. Since 2 of the 3 hours we were on the plane was 'nap time', each boy slept the majority of the flight. Between the flight down and back, Liam and Connor did not make one unhappy our uncomfortable sound, and Aidan did not cry at all... simply amazing!!!
Rachel with Connor heading back to Chicago after a great trip.

Liam and I
My flight buddy, Liam, enjoying the take-off.
Daddy picked us up from Midway Airport and was beside himself when he saw his boys again. The reunion was priceless.
A perfect trip, but so nice to be home and have our family together again!!!
Day 7- Friday
How sad, our last full day. But at least we went out with a grand finale... No, no more hurricanes at Pat O'Briens with Dad, but we did have some very special visitors. My Godmother and Uncle came down to see us along with our awesome cousins. Our visit went by so fast, but it was great to see the family.
Uncle Rich trying his hat on Liam.
Aunt Elaine (my Godmother) with Aidan... I think he liked her necklace.
My cousin Elaine with a very smiley and cuddly Connor... Coincidence? I think not!
Rick, like so many others, losing the 'sock battle'.
Rick and Elaine took two of the boys on a nice walk around the condo complex. I went with them and had a very nice visit, hearing all about their official first week in their new winter home in Sunny Florida.

Later in the day we went over to Downtown Disney for another walk and to pick up something for Daddy and the boys. I wasn't going to buy anything from the shops since Grandma Mary and and Grandpa Ron bought the boys adorable Mickey bibs and stuffed animals in November and Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mike bought them Mickey sweatshirts for Christmas. Plus they had their Mickey t-shirts from Ben, Jack, and Drew (we love hand-me-downs), we really didn't need anythign else 'Mickey', until I saw this little guy and the smiles it put on our boys' faces.
Connor with the new Mickey.

Liam and Aidan 'sharing' their new Mickey... A souvenir definitely worth it!

While I was in one of the shops, I come out to find my mother and Connor 'causing trouble' with the others. And to think my dad always gets blamed for being the mischievous one...
The boys and I last picture in Orlando together, not overly happy that the trip is almost over.
The boys with Grandma and Grandpa. It looks like the boys are outright upset that their time with their grandparents is just about over.
The whole time we were in Florida we were busy nonstop, going to so many great places and seeing so many new things. Out of it all, however, I my favorite part was watching my parents interact with their grandsons. I enjoyed every minute of the trip, and I will forever remember the time we had together... Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
