Several months ago Auntie Kate was over to visit the boys when Craig came home from work. After a little bit of time she told us that she needed to head home to start preparing dinner for her family. She then asked Craig what we were going to have for dinner. Craig kind-of laughed, and then said in a matter-of-fact manner, "We don't eat dinner". You see, the end of the day is always the craziest and I honestly don't think about anything 'non baby related' until the boys are off to sleep. And by then, it's just too late to start cooking, and I'm honestly too tired to do anything. Since that somewhat embarrassing realization, however, I've tried to at least think about dinner, and to have some basic 'choices' in the house... Lean Cuisines, Gino East frozen pizzas, salads, pastas, and sandwiches are the staples. Anyways, since Dave found out about our dinner situation, he's been wanting to come over and grill a 'real' dinner for Craig and I... which brings me to last night :-).
The 'W' family came over around 6:00 and played with the boys for a while, which was perfect timing since Craig and I were 'baby exhausted'. Then Auntie Kate fed the babies while Dave started to work on our meal.
Aidan, Liam, and Connor enjoying dinner from Auntie Kate.
Dave grilling our amazing dinner.
Our hosts in our dining room enjoying the meal they prepared.
After listening to us for quite some time, Isabelle suggested that we take a picture of what Craig and I kept referring to as "The best meal, ever!"
We played a new, kind-of silly game after dinner. If was a fun no-brainer game, which is exactly what we needed after a long day and very full tummies.
What's that Craig... "Double Razorback!!!"
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
