ALL BY MYSELF!!!

Back in October I had a post with the same title, but that time it was about the boys getting dressed.  As expected, they were happy to be able to do that on their own (albeit all the clothes went on backwards), and they continue to get excited every time they do things by themselves.  This post, however, is all about me and what I can do with my Liam, Aidan and Connor, all by myself!

When they were infants through the age of one the only thing I really did with the boys outside the home was to go on walks, lots and lots of them!  We also hit the stores and mall, but they were always contained in their stroller or a cart.

Then around their second birthday I started to feel comfortable taking them to different parks and bounce house gyms that were somewhat contained.  Around that time we also went on walks around the neighborhood without a stroller or wagon and I was able to let them play in the front yard.

And now that they are three, oh has the freedom exploded!!!  I no longer have to contain them in fear that one will run off, and I don't worry too much about their behavior in public places, as they seem to do better when we are out than at our own home (strange, I know!).

On top of our typical park/ front yard/ gym dates, this week the boys and I went to...

Wonderful World of Wheels~
A local fest that targeted the preschool age.  It had 20+ vehicles for the boys to climb in/on and drivers to talk with.  Right up the boys alley!

"3's Storytime" and "Make It! Take It!" at the Library
I was nervous about library events because my boys are NOT quiet little people (quite the opposite as a matter of fact), but as it turns out, they do remarkably well listening to the librarians and following directions

Insect Zoo and the Children's Museum~
Um, yuck on the first part, but a great learning experience for all of us.  Awesome yearly membership present from the "C" family, btw!

YMCA Healthy Kids Expo~
Fun! Fun! Fun!  The boys not only enjoyed the bounce houses and games, but they had a blast filling their goodie bags with all sorts of 'prizes' from the vendors

I wholeheartedly understand why my boys sound so excited when they do new things by themselves, because I am thrilled every time I think about what I am now able to do with my boys, "All By Myself!"

Worth noting...  I still LOVE company when going on adventures with Liam, Aidan and Connor!  My point of this post is that I no longer have to depend on someone to go with me, which is an awesome and very freeing feeling!!!  Exceptions... Church, pools, airplanes :-)

We went to the world of wheels too!!! it was so much fun. My kids had a blast. Parking was NUTS! I'm so happy that things have gotten a million times easier for you. I wish it would happen soon for me!!! And its funny, I would never do the things you do alone, but I do church alone by myself every week!! Hope to see you and your boys soon since its getting so nice out.
