A few months ago I volunteered to take over the coordinating responsibility of the annual Triplet Tree's Santa Party. I figured I LOVE parties (hosting them and going to them), think hanging out with triplets (and their families) is a blast, and miss the responsibility of being in charge of something other than my kids (which I sometimes wonder if I'm the one who's actually in charge of them, or vise-versa :-)). That said, planning for this thing took waaay more time than I ever thought possible (all of my blogging time, tv time, sleeping time...). When taking over the event, I figured the two most important things for me to work on would be to find a nice location and a good Santa. Easy, right? NO!!! Both were HUGE issues throughout the whole planning process, not just the first few weeks. Blah, blah, blah... The party was today, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it all came together. The location was literally perfect for all we had to offer, our Santa and Mrs. Claus were very personable, funny, and warm, our photographer made sure to accurately capture everyone's visit with Santa and get some nice family shots, and all the members really came through. We had an amazing assortment of pot-luck food, fun games & activities, great crafts, lively entertainment, and tons of support... before, during and after the party. In my opinion it was a 100% success, as everyone seemed to have a blast during the entire party!
Pictures will be coming as soon as our photographer (who did an awesome job) sends them my way. Until then, I have just one to share... Our honest Connor not peeking at all while playing "Frosty No Nose"
