A new lesson learned... I always thought I understood "Mother's Day", after all I have always had THE BEST mother in the world, and since marrying Craig I inherited a mother-in-law who is more welcoming and loving than any daughter-in-law could ever hope for. And being a God Mother to Ben, Joey, and soon-to-be Anna, (such awesome little people) means so much to me!!! Needless to say, I have always felt blessed on Mother's Day.
Well, after having my little guys I realized that I did not understand a huge part of Mother's Day. Being a mother to my three little miracles is the most rewarding feeling I have ever experienced, and that lesson came crashing down on me when I was asked to stand during mass. Our priest gave all the mothers in the pews a special blessing, and it was so powerful that I started to cry (and I never really emotionally recuperated through the day). I'm pretty sure that Mother's Day is now my most favorite (non-religious) holiday of the year, and that speaks volumes when you think about all the great holidays out there... Free Candy Halloween, Off from School Pulaski, Columbus, and MLK Days, and my former favorite Green Beer St. Patrick's Day. And for those who think that Mother's Day is just a 'Hallmark Holiday', I couldn't disagree more. It wasn't the cards or flowers that made my day so special, it was my family.

"Mommy" on her first Mother's Day with Liam, Aidan, and Connor. I honestly don't understand how life could get any better than this!!!

My mom with my Aidan.
My "mommy-mentor" with my Connor.
My dad with my Liam.
My nephews with my boys.
Let me reiterate, THE BEST MOTHER'S DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
