Made With Love

As we all know, the boys were loved by so many people before they were even born. Some of those people decided to put that love and their crafty talent to work, and make beautiful blankets for Liam, Aidan and Connor.

Grandma Diane cross-stitched a blanket for each baby. Connor is laying on his "Cute... or What?" blanket. Aidan is on his "Babies are a Bundle of Joy" blanket. And Liam is looking at his "Babies are Precious, Lovable, Cute, Cuddly, and our Life Treasure" blanket. All three blankets mean so much to me, and I will be sure that our guys' babies will treasure them as well. My Aunt Elaine made these quilts for our little guys. She could not be at my baby shower when they were given to me, but a beautiful note came with them, and Kelly explained my aunt's thought process when creating them. Each quilt contains the same fabric, but is designed differently, just like our boys. Oh, they are so beautiful, and mean so much to us. And as a bonus, the boys LOVE laying on these soft quilts.
Craig's cousin Laura, made these super cozy fleece blankets for our boys. Each has the same John Deere front (a tribute to Grandpa Ron and Great G-Pa Roy), and different color backings. Laura did that because she is a teacher and understands that there would have been 'fights' down the road. "That one is mine", "no, it's mine" ,"nut-nu, that one is yours" kind of fights, but fights non-the-less. Thank you for your thoughtful gifts!
Lynn made these blankets for our boys, and do they have it all. They could not be more beautiful, super soft on one side, fuzzy on the other, and silky tabs along the sides. I have a feeling that these blankets are going to be going everywhere with the boys when they get older!
Before even registering at our new church, the parish nurse heard about our story (thanks to the ever so social Grandpa Ron) and hand delivered a prayer blanket to me during my stay in the hospital. Then, when the boys make their grand entrance to the world, our church was ready for them with a different prayer blanket for each of them. We since joined the parish, and have been made to feel welcome every moment. All three babies are cozy under one of the prayer blankets.
Sara, a very dear friend of mine, came over shortly after the boys were home, and delivered them their own personalized fleece blanket. Such thoughtful "Welcome to the World" presents, especially for triplets!!!I know these blankets are not home-made, but the hats are, and I love this picture. It was taken at the hospital within a week of the three of them being born. The hats were donated to us from our hospital photographer, who is the daughter of a nurse who took care of Kelly. So many more 'hat' pictures were taken, but they are MIA. I sure hope they turn up!!!
